At 4am, our alarm went off. I sat up (after ignoring it for 10 minutes) and Bruce rolled over, saying something I somehow knew he'd say. "Its not gonna happen." Bruce hadn't felt well the night before and woke up with a bad headache. Probably a mild case of altitude sickness. It still wouldn't have been safe to climb with him any less than 100%. The V-Notch would have to wait.
