As we drove up, we didn't even think about it being Labor Day Weekend. The three of us were unemployed and didn't need an excuse like Labor Day to get away for 3 days. But when we got to Rock Creek (above bishop), where we were staying, we found all the campsites full. As we were driving around the largest of the campsites with a couple hundred individual spots, someone even told us it was completely full. As we were leaving, though, a woman hailed our car and told us they had purchased too many campsites and wondered if we wanted it. That was our first many make lucky events for the weekend. The campsite was choice too. Right by a river. The first night we ate giant steaks!!!
